Every year, the boys and girls at Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch participate in Red Ribbon Week, a national campaign that educates young people on the importance of being drug-free. Throughout the week, the elementary, middle and high schools took part in various educational activities and also participated in themed dress-up days to show their support as a community.
One activity brought the middle schoolers together to create sidewalk art, emphasizing the importance of saying no to drugs through each child’s creativity! Phrases like “Young and drug-free,” “Ew… drugs,” “Pugs not drugs” and “Slam dunk to no junk” decorated the sidewalks in support of being drug-free.
