Dear Friends,
As we approach this sacred season of Christmas, I am filled with deep gratitude for your unwavering commitment to our mission. Thanks to your generosity and prayers the caring staff at Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch continue to provide hope and healing in a safe, nurturing home environment where children can thrive.
I am also reminded of the power of kindness, community, and the importance of offering hope to those who need it most. As we celebrate the season of giving, I am inspired by the words of 1 John 3:18, “Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” Through your actions, you have helped us create an environment where children and families feel safe, valued, and loved.
Christmas is a time to reflect on the gift of Jesus Christ, who came into the world to bring hope to the hopeless. This message resonates deeply with the families we serve, many of whom have experienced deep hurt and loss. Yet, through your support, they discover that they are not alone, and they begin to embrace a future filled with possibilities.
This year, thanks to your incredible support, we have made significant strides in our mission:
-
- We have had success in hiring house parents and will continue to build upon that success during the next fiscal year.
-
- Due to the continued expansion of our community services programs, we served over 135 more youth this year which represents a 25% increase in youth served.
-
- Our 80th Rodeo celebration, which included many enhanced activities and events, was a big success as we watched the determination and resiliency of our youth in action.
-
- The new FFA Barn was completed before the Rodeo and was open for tours during the Rodeo event.
-
- We are actively planning the renovation of the Scott Gym to create a state-of-the-art Experiential Learning Center that will begin construction next year.
These accomplishments are a testament to the collective effort of everyone involved; our dedicated staff, and you, our donors. Together, we have not only provided essential services, but we have given hope and shown that every life is worth investing in.
As we look ahead to a new year, we are filled with excitement for what is to come. We know that with your continued partnership, we can make an even greater impact. Our goal remains the same: to ensure that every child we serve feels loved, supported, and prepared for a brighter future.
During this Christmas season, I pray that peace and joy surround you and your loved ones. Thank you for being part of our mission and for helping us bring light into the lives of so many.
With deepest gratitude,
Richard Nedelkoff
